198th Infantry Brigade Commander Wounded in Medivac Effort
Colonel William R. Richardson, 198th Inf Bde, and 16 other soldiers were wounded as a result of a booby trap incident and ensuing firefight (D Co., 1st Bn 6th Inf).  August 1970
Air America and the "Bug" in the VC Typewriter  Operation "Little Big Horn" in June 1971 involves an electronic tracking device that leads the Regulars to a VC headquarters location.  During the operation, the Battalion Commander survived being shot in the helmet.

'Dealers of Death' drive off 10 to 12 enemy without injury Ward Odom shares a Newspaper article about Co A, 1st Bn 6th Inf, and their encounter with a "U" shaped enemy ambush in early 1971.
Saigon Story  Dennis Linn, Co B, 1st Bn 6th Inf, tells his story of a prisoner escort trip from Chu Lai to the infamous LBJ (Long Binh Jail) near Saigon in 1971. 8 rally in a day Bud Carlson (D/1-6 Inf) shares a newspaper article and photo about successful "Chu Hoi" efforts in the 1st Bn 6th Inf area of operations in 1970.
Rescue of a Downed General  Staff  Sergeant Allen McPherson helps locate and rescue the Americal Division Commander, Major General Ramsey, in March 1970. Ambush and Rescue on QL1  With total disregard for their own safety, a Vietnamese couple rescue a soldier caught in an ambush on QL1 on 26 February 1971.
Commando Raid at Chu Lai  An attack by Viet Cong commandos on the unit stand-down area in Chu Lai in July 1970. A Medic's View   SP5 Daniel Gonzalez gives his perspective as a medic during land clearing operations on the Batangan Peninsula 1970-71.
Regulars Utilize Darkness to Kill TenNight time raid by 2nd Plt, Co C, 1st Bn 6th Inf on a VC hooch in November 1970. Regulars Find Base Camp  Fortified position is destroyed by soldiers from 3rd Plt, Co C, 1st Bn 6th Inf on 16 January 1971.
